House Rules

WHY HOUSE RULES?

The purpose of this page is to familiarize yourself with our policies and procedures that help us provide the safest, cleanest, and most fun experience for your pup during their time with us at Pisgah Pet Suites. All of these rules, from pick up and drop off times to vaccinations, are curated in order to ensure that your pet is getting personalized care and attention. When owners do not follow the rules, our staff are forced to kennel dogs and reduce playtime in order to accommodate customer demands. Generally, first time offenses are met with gentle verbal reminders, after that service fees may be applied, however if poor adherence to rules persists we may not accept future reservations.

General Decorum for Dog Owners:

  • The owner adheres to pick up and drop off times that they have selected.
    • The owner does not show up outside of pick up or drop off times to pick up or drop off their pet (7AM-10AM, 4PM-6PM). This is a general safety risk for our group play time and takes play time away from everyone’s pup.
  • The owner understands that Boarding is for a 24hr period of time. If an owner drops off in the AM, and picks up during the PM after a stay, a day of Doggy Daycare is automatically added to their invoice.
  • The owner’s dog(s) is leashed (fixed, quick connect leashes), and under the owners control, upon entering and exit of the facility and are aware and considerate of others checking in or out of the facility at the same time.
  • The owner understands that this facility is set up specifically for socialized and friendly dogs.
    • There are capacity limits in place for single players to ensure that we can give them individual attention without impacting the rest of the pack.
    • Dogs over 12 months of age must be altered to engage in group play.
      • Female dogs in heat are not permitted to enter the facility.
  • The owner understands that staff are responsible for the welfare of every dog in the facility. We strive to provide the best service possible to the owners and their pups while following our strenuous safety and cleanliness procedures, and we do not break these rules for anyone.
  • The owner does not knowingly bring a dog into the facility with a suspected transmittable disease. This may include but not be limited to: kennel cough, fleas, intestinal parasites, etc.
  • All previous invoices must be paid before check in to the next reservation.

Meet & Greet Policy

All new dogs and owners to the facility must go through the meet and greet process. This process is to ensure that we can take the greatest care of your pet while they are in our care. This meeting typically takes around 15 minutes with a staff member where we discuss food, medication, and behavior. This meeting can occur over the phone, or in person, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:00-2:00 PM. In person meetings will also include a tour of the facility.

The next phase of the Meet and Greet process is to schedule your pup for a day of daycare with us. During your dog’s first day of daycare, we will evaluate their temperament and energy level and familiarize them with the kennels and the play yards. After familiarization with the facility, we will begin introducing them to their playgroup where they will slowly be integrated with the pack under watchful supervision.
